This week I was absent because I was attending the All-State Band. It was really stressful because I had to take off school and go to Tampa for 3 days to play in the band. On Thursday, we had re-seating auditions, and I was really nervous for that. Out of the 15 in my section, I got second which is alright, I suppose. After that, we had a 9 hour rehearsal that made me really tired.
On Friday, we came back and had a rehearsal from 8:00 - 11:00 and then we did it from 1:00 - 5:00, but our director held us over another 45 minutes, which was aggravating since I had been there all day!
On Saturday, we had our performance which went well. They said we were the best there had been for 7 years! All-State was a great experience.
